USAGE OF REDLER CONVEYOR IN OIL MILL

FEEDING CONVEYORS

Oil extraction process starts with the feeding of the oil seed, nut or bean into the Oil Expeller machine. To feed the raw material into the Oil Expeller we need the VARUNA Feeding Conveyor, they helps to speed up the process by saving time and reduce the manual labor cost. By proper feeding of the raw material into the machine, they helps to achieve optimize output of the machine.

The VARUNA feeding Conveyor are best suited for feeding the seed directly (Single or Multiple Machine) into the overhead bins or directly into the kettle of Oil Expeller. Mainly, large scale units install the Redler Conveyor.

Many units use them with the combination of Elevators. The main advantage of using them is under-ground (with cover on the top, as it do not hamper the working space) in combination of elevator at their discharge end, which feed the overhead bin or Oil Expeller machine.

The unique advantage of using them is that we can bend them according to the need of unit. It saves the working space. This is not possible in Screw Conveyor.

CAKE CONVEYORS

Once the oil extraction process of oilseeds is completed, the coarse residue is left behind and it is allowed to come out through the discharge outlet of the oil expelling machine. This residue is known as Oilcake.

Cake conveyors are well known equipment’s to convey the material from one place to another in the oil mill processing plant. The cake conveyors are again an integral part of the oil extraction unit. The direction of transfer for the cake conveyor is into the horizontal direction. The oilcakes are transported and sent away to required location by means of the horizontal movement.

After the oil cake is formed, it will come out of the machine and start accumulating. This cake is hot when freshly comes out. In order to avoid the big lumps and big accumulation of oilcake at one place, the cake has to be conveyed away from the milling area for subsequent process. The cake discharge is a continuous process and the volume of oilcake coming out is also more. Hence to reduce the manpower and tedious work, a special type of equipment’s are used which are known as Cake Conveyors.

In order to speed up the whole oil cake processing process, the use of cake conveyors plays a very important and vital role. The conveyor consists of rotating screws or moving belts which run on a motor and a belt which is used for conveying the cakes.

ADVANTAGES OF REDLER CONVEYOR

• The unique advantage of using them is that we can bend them according to the need of unit. Generally the Redler Conveyor are underground near Oil Expeller and then a bend / taper box is inserted to make Redler Conveyor lifted at a degree. Then the cake is directly collected into the bags with special bag collecting arrangement. It saves the working space. This is not possible in Screw Conveyor.
• The other advantage is that they can be used for multiple machines in a line for the collection of cake, which is not possible in single Screw Conveyor.
• The maintenance of the Redler Conveyor is very easy in comparison to Screw Conveyor. As any link of the Chain can be changed, but in the Screw the Whole 8 feet screw has to be taken out.
• The design of our VARUNA cake conveyors are such that they prevent the mixing of the conveyors with other unwanted materials. It is very important that the cakes do not get mixed with other materials as they are used as cattle and poultry feed and are considered as highly nutritious.
